"In April 2002, our son was ready for repatriation from France after a terrible ski accident and 3 weeks hospitalisation in Grenoble. With no travel insurance to organise things, we needed help fast - at only 1-2 days notice. Our first contact with Glentress was to arrange an ambulance from Edinburgh airport to Edinburgh Royal Infirmary. The help and advice given meant that we turned to Glentress when BA insisted that John be accompanied by a qualified nurse on the journey. Thus Marion Knox arrived at half a day's notice in Grenoble with all the necessary equipment that John would need for the journey including a stretcher since he was obliged to lie flat on his back encased in a neck to thigh corset to protect broken vertebrae plus an external fixator and casts on various limbs. Marion's whirlwind efficiency had the hospital staff almost standing to attention and all was made ready for an 08.00am departure to Lyon : paperwork ready, drugs administered. A smooth journey was ensured by Marion's knowledge and experience of the process. During the Heathrow stopover she gave John excellent care in the Medical Centre, as she did throughout the journey. Her ambulance team awaited us at Turnhouse and on arrival at Edinburgh Royal Infirmary, Marion gave a thorough handover to the staff there. A potential nightmare became a smooth efficient transfer with devoted support to John - and his mother. We cannot emphasise enough how grateful we are for such care, and cannot praise highly enough such competence."

"I'd like to thank everybody that was involved with the transport of my father….the visits that you facilitated until he was able to manage the stairs himself meant such a lot…thank you".

"We enjoyed your helpful, friendly and attentive company. Our sincere thanks for your constant help, concerning all aspects of our journey from France".

"Please thank everyone involved for the efficient and sympathetic care of my brother".

"I thank you for your services over the past years. *** did enjoy your staff coming up each time, they were so caring and considerate and added to the enjoyment of the outings which they enabled her to have. It was the highlight of her very restricted life-style."

"We have received a telephone call….from the Lanark and Upperward Equestrian event that you attended….at the Douglas and Angus Estate. This was a call of commendation and thank you…for the small girl you treated at the event…the mother was impressed with your treatment and caring attitude. Once again thank you".

"May I take this opportunity to thank you and your company for the efficient manner in which you carried out the training round our very busy and hectic schedule….thank you for the help, assistance and professional manner whilst training my colleagues".

"Please pass on my thanks to the doctor and ambulance men who attended…my daughter…after she and her horse parted company after the last cross-country fence…I believe she was their 14th patient of the day but their care and attention was in no way running out…many thanks".

"Thank you so much for all of your help in getting me home from Ibiza. I know that my mum really appreciated it as well, as you made the journey so easy by monitoring me. I also appreciated that you let me go home with my relatives, as this made them happy. Thank you for all your help, making it so easy".

"Many thanks for your kind words. *** was very glad to have you there…I gather she found the day rather stressful and was very assured by your initiative and leadership. Transferring somebody in ****'s condition on an all-day multi-change journey incurs a degree of risk and *** and I are very grateful for your help in ensuring that he came through it unscathed. I am particularly grateful that you made yourself available at such short notice. Thank you again".

"Very many thanks to those who helped…their sheer cheerfulness and good nature were much appreciated".
